Hi, I’m Nicola – Founder of Solo Mum Abroad

From travel agent to solo travel mum, my journey has always been about discovery.

I’ve worked in the travel industry since 1997—as a travel agent, with tour operators, and even running my own travel business. Now, as a home-educating mum of two adventurous boys, I’m embracing a new kind of travel: flexible, off-peak, and often just the three of us.

Although I’m happily married, my husband’s demanding work schedule means we only travel as a full family once or twice a year. So, I’ve made it my mission to explore the world with my boys—on our own schedule.
